South Africa - 25 weeks pregnant + 21 month old

We booked a two week holiday using air miles ages ago, we're due to go in March. I'm going to be 25 weeks pregnant and our little girl will be around 21 months old.
Has anyone done a similar trip? Any suggestions? Or should be cancel and go at a better time?
Thanks for any advice

Are you in a malaria zone? Anti malarias might be difficult for you and your daughter.
Otherwise, can't see many issues if you have a reasonable vaccinations record.

If the health side is fine (Maybe an appointment with the travel nurse at the surgery?), go for it.

No malaria prophylaxis needed - we re flying to Capetown so we are likely to be staying around that area rather than doing long distances up North.
Has anyone experienced healthcare in S.Africa. We have insurance and are hoping not to use it! I would imagine that it is pretty good?...

An 11 hour flight 25 weeks pg and with a toddler on your lap?
Doesn't sound very comfortable to me!
Maybe if she has her own sat and is good at sleeping on planes.

Will you be able to reschedule as you have used air miles? I expect there will be a charge and will you fancy it anymore with a baby? Yes the healthcare is good. They did the first heart transplant is Capetown. I would book a seat for your DD though unless your DH is going to have her all through the flight. The flights are evening flights from the UK though so you may be able to sleep.

Hire a car and go out to the beaches all around Capetown. The winelands is an easy day trip and lots of the Wine Estates have restaurants. I can highly recommend Tokara Wine Estate for an informal lunch with quite a few children around when we were there. The cable car up Table Mountain would be fun as would the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens as there is plenty of space and it is beautiful. Robben Island would be doable too. I am sure there would be a website offering advice for what to do in Capetown with a small child to occupy. I think there is a Cheetah conservation establishment about 1 hour from Capetown so that may be of interest too.
