My 4 month old has a bedtime of 7pm which we never deviate from. She goes down in her cot and doesn't wake. On holiday in France, we'd like to go out in the evening once or twice. If we do, it'll be her first evening out asleep in her pushchair? I'm terrified she'll wake and then her routines will become disrupted. Have any of you tried this? Was it successful?
Thanks

My dd always had and always will come everywhere with us - i guess you have to make a choice do you want a bit of freedom? or do you want your to spend your hols stuck in your hotel room?

My dd seemed to sleep better with the hustle and bustle of restaurant noises. Fingers crossed yours will be the same!

Go out and enjoy it whilst you can! When ds was small we used to cover his pram with his outlook sunscreen and walk for 5-10 mins beforehand until he'd nodded off and then enjoy our evenings. This year he'll be 2.11 and will definitely not be happy to sleep through a night out anywhere interesting.

If I remember correctly, about 3.9 yrs ago we took dd on holiday aged then about 9 /10 weeks, and every night we took her down to the hotel restaurant in her moses basket - and she slept soundly throughout.

ds has a strict routine, bed at 7pm every nite but on holiday we didnt go out in the evenings til 7pm. Thought he might sleep in the pushchair like every other baby but no, he was still boogying to the disco at 11.30pm. He would have his bottle and go to bed then and wake up at 10-10.30am. Thankfully he has slipped straight back in to his old routine so dont worry about it too much, just enjoy your holiday
