France with teens

Can anyone recommend a campsite (Castels?) or holiday village (but not camping !!) in Normandy or Brittany. DD(16) and DS(14) keen to visit Normandy (for 7-8 days) and maybe onto Paris for a couple of days (will be on car ferry.) We feel the kids need a bit more entertainment/other teens now, rather than staying in independent villas/gites.

have you looked at ukcampsites.co.uk

dol de bretagne i would recommend for teenagers - about 20 miles south of st malo. its a big site, but has a lot going on for them. also been to a castels site in carnac - lovely area but not so keen on site.

Thanks, dreaming (love the name!) - I'll have a look at that one.

bernie river is a site near paris we looked at. it seems to get mixed reviews and i think that may be down to the position of your mobile on the site.

Hmm - does have mixed reviews! A family I know always go to Castels sites (but normally south) and they like them as there's plenty to do for kids/teens but not too much karaoke/Brits abroad stuff (more archery, canoeing, etc)
My two are fairly quiet and aren't the type to throw themselves into company (not like me - I'll talk to anyone!) - but are happy near water or playing tennis or with a pool table or table tennis in the evening. DD's coming out of herself more these days but DS(14) is uncomfortable in his own company at the moment!! ;)

in that case they might like les deux fontaines. its quieter than the other sites, but does have sports incl archery and a pool and bar etc. you walk through fields to get to the local beach which is quite nice. there are also other nice beaches to visit in the area. its not a castels site though - but just as good. we had a eurocamp mobile which was in a great position and had good sized pitch

Oh, that looks lovely! Thanks for info, I shall start googling!!
