We're going at the end of July for one week and I'm wondering what the climate is going to be like with regards to clothing - what to pack for dd and us! Thanks

Think spring or autumn - can be very warm but be prepared for strangely chilly. The air is somehow fresher and more frisky.

Oh, and I'm very jealous

Thanks Too Ticky - I must add that this trip is a treat from my mum. There's no way we could afford to do anything like this.....not in a million years! I'm looking forward to being waited on (that sounds pompous but mums the world over will know what I mean!!!). If there is any other advice you or anyone else has I would be very appreciative.

I visited Norway fairly briefly several years ago (Sweden's my obsession) and I remember the sort of chilly freshness - we'd just come from Russia where it was boiling! Also remember lots of jellyfish and a leprosy museum.

It would appear from the itinary that we'll be 'hugging' the coast. A leprosy museum sounds 'interesting' .
Do I take it that it's really a case of packing for all weathers?

I'd say definitely one jumper per person and something rain/windproof, but be prepared for warmth too. I'm still

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!!!
I'd have been packing literally just summer clothes - oops.
TooTicky - On the back of your envy I'm telling my dh what a super time he's going to have; sadly dh is not one for holidays, or anything remotely 'different'. I'm hoping it's going to be a real eye-opener for him....but I'm not holding my breath.
