Brokeholes Farm, Doncaster
Hulababy · 20/02/2004 15:06
Name: Brokeholes Farm
Location: located in the village of Branton, just outside Doncaster
Age range: young families
Price: £3.50 (under 3s are free); car park is free
Duration: If good weather a good afternoon's worth to see and do.
The farm has lots of different animals including
Cow, Duck, Donkey, Fox, Goose, Goat, Guinea Pig, Foul, Kookaburra, Llama, Monkey, Owls, Pigs, Rabbit, Deer, Sheep, Swan, Turkey, Zebra - so more than the average farm. In Spring you get all the babies too which are so sweet.
Children over 3 get a pony ride included as well.
There is a cafe, and an outdoor picnic area. There is a small play area with swings, etc. There is a woodland walk with bridges and picnic tables. Apparantly trolls live under the bridges too
Really is a nice farm to visit and much cheaper than the likes Of Sherwood Forest and Chatsworth farms.
I will definitely be going back this spring and summer with DD.

went here with dd and two older nieces (9 and 10)
It also has a riding school, not sure of prices though.
DD loved it, nieces loved the pony ride.
picnic area in woods and another adjacent to play area (cafe not brilliant - sarnies, baked spuds, chips n nuggets type stuff)
They have baby chicks and ducklings at the moment!!

Thanks for the recommendation - will check it out the week after next when most schools are back and my dd is still off.
I'm involved with a 'days out' organisation for children with disabilities between 8 - 14. Would you say it's suitable for that catagory?

I'm sure it would be dotee - check with Hula. It has good access and has courses in animal care run by Doncaster College.

I m sure it would be but why not ring them in advance to check. They are normally lovely and helpful when you ring. Normally children over 3 get a pony ride, they maybe able to arrange extra support, etc. to make sure your children can still have a go.
