Please recommend an all inclusive resort, DDs will be 13

For next year. DDs will be 13. Had a lovely holiday in turkey this year, self catering but feel it was a bit quiet for them and want something livelier with things to do but not too lively!

Friends have had horrible experiences this year with all inclusive - crap food, queuing for ages for meals and drinks, loads of people pissed and shouting and swearing at their kids who were running wild. This is why we have gone for apartments and never tried A/I but there must be some decent ones, or do I have to pay a fortune to avoid these sorts?

Look at Sovereign Holidays - they have lots of good all inclusive things on there and have heard great things about them.

Iberostar? We had a great time in June at one in Majorca - good food, branded drinks (so coca cola rather than cola, wine list with your evening meal so you could get nice wine), the entertainment was good (I had low expectations), activities for your teenage DDs would be things like volley ball, football, tennis, archery. We were really impressed by them.

Neilson now offer AI in some resorts, and if it is school holidays then there will be plenty of company for your kids. Obviously you pay for the inclusive activities (dabbling in sailing, windsurfing, cycling, fitness etc) so it isn't cheap, but because everyone is so active there isn't usually the drunk problem.

There are some lovely all-inclusive hotels in Belek in Turkey.

We have stayed at the Papillon Zeugma and have booked the Papillon Belvil for next year. The Voyage Belek also gets great reviews on Trip Advisor.

There are a la carte restaurants as well as the buffet restaurants, so the food doesn't get too 'samey', and the food has always been lovely.

Have never seen anyone drunk and shouting and swearing, or any kids running wild.

We went here this year. No drunks, good food and lots going on.

We went to Gural Premier in Belek, they had a good teen club, and an aquapark, table tennis etc, so plenty to do. Food was fab (all buffet, but no queues and a huge choice) drinks were great, proper coke, Fanta etc,, icecream all day, quite a lot of activities, but not pushed to join in if you didnt want to, and also a quiet pool.

Didn't see anyone drunk at all in 10 days. Not too many British, quite a mix of Germans, Russians, Turkish. Mostly families, no hen or stag groups when we were there.

We had never been AI before, but with our DCs being 12, 11 and 8, we thought our eldest needed a bit more entertainment than when we had self catered. We loved it so much we have booked again to go next year

I've just made some recommendations on another thread, but we've been to a few AIs in recent years and never seen any problem of people drinking too much, despite all the temptations. Good food is important to us, so it is one of the things we look for when researching and we have been impressed by the 2 Turkish hotels we've been to.

Our main priority over the last few years has been a water park and all suggestions below have very good ones.

The 2 Turkish ones were the Royal Dragon, near Side and Lykia World in Olu Deniz.

This year, we left Turkey and tried the Caretta Beach hotel on Zante, Greece.

Lykia world - olu deniz is perfect for every age group. It's not AI but as all meals and drinks with meals. And all activities. The teens club includes jet skiing, banana boats as well as the usual things. It's not cheap but
Worth it!

The only problem we found with Lykia World was it's relative isolation.
It's a couple of miles from the town of Olu Deniz which isn't that far in itself, but the only way to walk is on the road which isn't very pleasant. There is nothing that you can walk to if you want a break from the site. Having said that, taxis are pretty cheap.

Other than that (oh, and as Poppy says, the fact that you have to pay for drinks and ice creams outside meal times), we also can't fault it.
