Hi,
We are off to Florida in Oct and as it is Halloween want to know if this is worth doing, how do I get tickets, and how does it work? If you have to have a separate ticket do they ask all other visitors to leave the park early? Looked on lots of uk ticket sites but none mention them. Thanks.

Yes, you need a seperate ticket.

Hi, yes we went in 2002. It was fantastic and the kids loved it (so did the adults). Everyone was dressed up in fancy dress so its worth taking some. The kids collect trick or treat candy all the way round the park. They have special souvenier teddys etc. I remember a headless horseman riding around as well. We also had a picture taken and it was sent to england for us. i would thoroughly recommend it. we bought the tickets from the disney website and collected them in florida.

I would highly recommend it. We took Ds then aged 9 in 2004. You can get tickets direct from Disney and in the past you could get them from a Disney store (not sure if thats still possible). We have fab photos of all the characters dressed in special Halloween costumes. The trick or treat is great.
It is offically a hard ticket event where you must have pre purchased a ticket. Well worth the money and effort. The best time is to be in the park when everyone else is leaving before the Halloween guests arrive, its really easy to get on the rides.
Also you may like to know that at Epcot at the same time is the Food and Wine festival, that was great, loads of opportunities to eat and drink from loads of different countries. DS would highly recommend both. DH and I were dreading it but we had a great time, and I'd like to go again. Most importantly (sory to hijack) is planning. Use some of the websites like All Ears or Tour Guide Mike. I spent a long time planning but we did so much and didnt Q!!! It was worth it.
Enjoy your trip.
