Has anybody done one? How do you find out about them? Does the entire family group have to go? Or could I get tickets for dh and 2 boys? Am assuming they give away single day tickets, but for which parks? And if anyone has any other info that I've not already asked, please add :-)

We did this but it was a long time ago, about 14 years. I think they would expect both you and your husband to attend. When we did it it was just us and the salesperson not a large presentation and it took several hours. We had to let her go through the whole spiel and visit the property. In the end it used up about half a day so not sure it was worth it. We got two adult tickets and one child, other was too young to need a ticket. Think we got to choose and went to Seaworld.

thedibb.co.uk covers ALL things Disney so the answer is probably on there somewhere.

We found out about it because the resort we were staying in had timeshares for sale so we couldn't really avoid it.

I'm assuming it would be just a day ticket and for just one park. But half a day and a hard sell first - is it worth it?

At Disney, Universal and Seaworld there are always various deals where you pay for x number of days and get a day free - I'd go for them instead!

I've done the tours about 4/5 times now, I could actually write what is going to get said before they actually say it. We've always got good discount and extras but I was buying alot of tickets for 4 adults 2 kids, no way would I endure the talks for one park. My kids tag along which is probabley why I'm always done and dusted in the time it says you'll be. The last one I did I already warned my DH not to give the man alot of chat and stick to one word answers so by the end I think the sales guy was losing the will to live as it was obvious we only were doing it for cheap tickets.

Yoni, how exactly does it work then? Do you get a discounted rate for which ever tickets you want to buy? And how much discount do they offer?

Can't mind the exactly the discount but whenever the guys standing in the booths offering these timeshares give a price we DH always say "come on, you can get us cheaper discounts than that" and keep up the banter until the tickets is at a good price......or until he starts to throw in extras, the last time we got a discount on Universal passes and we also got the early entry to universal thrown in (which was needed as Harry Potter had just opened, so if we never got in early the Q's were unreal for it) and we got given a dinner show for free tooSmile.

I should also add that when asked for phone number, address etc I always miss a digit out so I don't end up with spam phone calls or emails/post.

I wouldn't waste any of my precious holiday. There have been reports of people going and them picking them up then refusing to take them back to their accommodation and not giving out the free passes. I'd just buy my tickets and know I wasn't going to have to say no without the huge pressure some can put on you.
