Flying Ryanair. Question re printing boarding passes

Have booked a cheap week to Portugal in July, flying with Ryanair. Have never flown with them before, and I understand you need to check-in and print boarding passes before arriving at the airport. What happens if you can't print them off? I could easily do it before we fly out, but slightly concerned that I won't be able to find an internet cafe (is there such a thing any more?) to print off the boarding passes for our return flight home. I saw the article about Brian McFadden having a bit of a hissy fit as they were going to charge him £70(?) at the airport for not them printed off. Any advice/tips? Thanks.

My parents have used Ryanair for their two week holiday.

You should be able to print off the return boarding passes at the same time you print off the departure ones, I can remember printing off the return flight boarding passes for them.

Do not under any circs turn up at their check in desk without printed off boarding passes as they will charge you a vast sum (at least £100) for these printed A4 sheets!!.

Be wary too of their limited size re baggage; these can be closely observed.

You can definitely print them out when you print out your departure boarding passes.

Like Attila says, don't turn up at check in without them or you'll be charged an extortionate amount.

They really are obsessive about baggage size as well, so make sure yours fit well within the size/weight limits.

there was a "news" story not long ago about a woman who didn't print her return boarding cards off & they were charged £300 or something at the airport. she said she hadn't got access to a printer while away but, as pointed out here, you can print both lots off before you go.

but don't lose them!

they are greedy bastards but at least they are open about it

"Stupid passengers who don't print off their boarding passes can 'b***r off' says Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary"

objecting to being charged extra for his golf clubs? has he perhaps confused Ryanair with 1st class on a proper airline? Grin

You can check in 14 days before so check in for both flights before hand and print them off.

theladylovescupcakes · 04/06/2013 16:06

Phew! That's great, can easily get them done at the same time. I have a "holiday file" [slight OCD tendencies] so they should be safe there. Thanks all!

Remember not to print them double sided!

dementedma · 29/06/2013 17:57

Yep, print before you go, return flights too. Print a double set and then you have spares for the return leg in case you lose them.
I also photocopy passports and ehic cards in case they get lost/nicked and them at least I have the reference numbers

and buy one of these!

However remember that if then for whatever reason you want/need to change your return booking but have already printed your return ticket you will not be allowed to do so. If you have not, they will charge you a crazy fee to change it, and you will have to pay the difference, but you will be able to.
