Week-end in Paris..........advice needed

DH and I are going to Paris for a long week-end with our 4 months old son and I'm stuct to which part of his travel system to bring.
Shall I take just his car seet, the huge carrycot or the pram seat (which he might be too young to use) with the chassis(Bebe Confort Travel System)?
Neither of us have ever been to Paris before, so we're just planning to go to the most usual touristy places. Booked hotel near a metro station (Opera). I'm stuck to what pram/baby carrier to take.
Any ideas?

If the hotel don't provide a cot then I'd take the carrycot. If they do and there is any chance you would use a taxi take the carseat. Can you take a sling too so that you could change his position and it may be more convenient for the Metro. When do you go as you may be grateful for the additional protection of the carrycot if it is likely to be chilly or windy (take a raincover even if it might be just cold).

metro not pram friendly at a ll so you may find yourself walking a lot.

I would take the carry cot too

Thanks LIZS and Coddy. We're going in March, and there'll be a cot for him in the hotel.

cant you borrow a light weight from birth type buggy affair?

Kika · 01/02/2004 18:04

Unfortunately, all my friends' lightweight buggies/prams are for kids over 8-9 months.
I hear so often that it's easy to travel with babies...

I never found it like that actch!

But one things is for sure is that you will spend more time worrying about it than you will enjoying it unless you make a consciouss decision not to.!!

Just think Nice evening walks around aPAris with baby in carry cot!
