Chessington or Legoland for a 3 1/2 and 2 year old

Planning to go to a theme park this year, have never been to Legoland and havent been to Chessington for years. Just wondered what you think would be the best place to go for a 3 1/2 year old and a 2 year old. They arent particularly into Lego.

Legoland. They'll be able to go on more rides.

Soupdragon, are you the person I spoke to about Antigua, if so just come back from the St James Club, had a great time, loved it in fact. If your not, sorry!

Yes! So glad you enjoyed it!! As I said, we loved it so much we bought a timeshare... going there this summer in fact. I'm just putting our photos from 2004 on an album and day dreaming.

Second vote for Legoland. If it's a nice day when you go, remember to take swimming cossies and towels so they can play in the mini water park.

legoland, completely centered round children. We've done both this year and the children really enjoyed them, but we only took our 5 and 3 year old to chessington. Our dts are 13mnths, and legoland had lots even for them.

Legoland definitely. Chessington mainly for older children.

Lego for sure .Its more geared up to younger familys as chessington is more for children over 7 . I am a theme park queen . And used to have passes for both but my DS grew out of Legoland at 6 . Take a picnic as food prises are high and defo towels and cossies . Have fun .

personally, we prefered Chessington even though they can't go on all the rides at that age, there are still plenty of rides/attractions to do. Measure your children and check on the website because it's all to do with height.

Legoland is my version of hell on earth. We took ours when they were little and we managed to lose one and spent the whole day there and still only got to go on a few rides.

actually thinking about it, you'd prob need your 2 yr old to be 90cm to go on most rides (at Chess or Legoland)

I live quite locally to Legoland and we go there quite a lot. DS1 (4) and DS2 (2.5) love it and can go on most things. We also went to Chessington for the first time last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised how much we could all do together. As long as your little ones are 90cm plus you will be able to go on a fair few rides. We all went on Dragon Falls (probably not my best idea but the boys loved it)!

I'd have to say that the thought of any kind of theme park with children that young strikes me as a horrific nightmare from which you feel you'll never wake up, and a total waste of money

I'd avoid it until the youngest is 4 or 5 tbh

I have a m/ship for Chessington and would definitely recommend it. ATM it has a noddy show, it has lots of animals which most young children love. They have a Sealion show, a bird show and a penguin show. You can now walk through with some monkeys, you can pet goats and sheep. Ds2 is 3.5 and we have been a member for over a year there are at least 8 different rides he can go on. If your 2 yr old is 90cm they will be able to go on quite a few rides too. They have a special deal on their website atm if you can go during the week they have £11 entry for a mother and child under 4.

We went to Legoland at Easter but it rained. The boys enjoyed it but they LOVE lego and I would say there are as many rides a Chessington for the age of your children. Dss favourite part of Legoland was making lego cars to race down a ramp!!

I would say it depends on how far away each place is from where you live and go to the closest one.
