We are about to move into beckenham and we both work in the city so would be going from clock house to London bridge or charging cross. Please can people tell me their experiences of the commute; do you get a seat typically and are they fairly reliable?
Thanks

It depends if you take a Cannon Street Service or Charing Cross.

The Cannon Street has normally 3 stops more (Lewisham, St Johns and New Cross), the Charing Cross goes from Ladywell to London Bridge.

But in Rush-hour in the morning the Charing Cross one doesn't stop at London Bridge so you can't change (between 7.16am, last one to stop, and 9.11am, first one to stop again). This is not unsual, our old line (Sevenoaks via Grove Park in Bromley) also had this issue.

I board at West Wickham and it is just under 40 minutes to Cannon Street, so Clock House must be around 30 minutes. When I recently took one from Clockhouse (had a bloodtest at Beckenham hospital at 8am) the train was packed and there were no seats.

They are fairly reliable, as reliable as Southeastern is at the moment.

Just checked with a colleague, a train around 7.30amish is still ok for a seat (you have to walk to the back of the train), then it gets really busy.

That is really helpful, thank you
