I wondered if anyone could help? I have tried my doctors surgery but no-one seems to know there. Also found the Passport Site unclear

one child has titanium rods in her back from correctional surgery & the other needs to carry epi / jext pens at all times can anyone advise on air travel? ie: what do i need to let them know we are not carrying anything dangerous.
Thankyou

this BA link is helpful but it's probably best to check with your airline and GP before you fly.

I have to carry medications & injections and always check with the particular airline as to their requirements. I also check each country's requirements as with meds it's often surprising what you can't take to other countries, but I suspect that it won't be too much of an issue for you as it's usually pain relief that has the biggest issues.
I always take a prescription or original packaging for meds and a letter detailing condition and a list of my meds.

I paid £10 at the doctors for a letter to take with me Turkey as I was taking some Diazepam (to get me through the flights) and the letter said along the lines of 'I, Dr xxx from xxxx surgery have prescribed Mrs Teller xxx gram of Diazapam for the flight UK to Turkey on xxx date and the return flight Turkey to UK on xxx date.

I've got titanium pins in my back and have never had to carry a drs letter. I did have a bit of an issue in Israel once when gun was pulled on me at security but I showed them my scars and they waved me on.

Ref needles, I asked about this at LGW security a few months ago as DD1 has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and when we fly in a few weeks she will need to take all her insulin pens. I asked two different security agents and they both said there was no need for a drs letter. They are used to people carrying insulin (and epi pens etc) and hundreds of people go through security each day and don't have problems. The pen/box will normally have the patients name/DOB on and that is good enough for them.
