Hi Newoz girl. We are seriously considering a move to oz. Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread but just interested. I guess I have the concerns of the realities you are facing now - lack of friends. I'm not the real best at establishing new friendships. I have three kids, the eldest just at school so I would be SAHM at least for a while.
How are you finding it all? I love the idea of a culture based on the outdoors etc.
You're very brave - hope you make some good mates soon. Think it gets harder once your a bit older (well I'm 38 and find it hard enuff)

Hiya niceglasses, i absolutely love it here, the life for the children is fantastic they have never been so happy, they have all made so many friends, its true what you say it does get harder as you get older im 34.
Do you know where abouts in oz you would go?
I would definately go for it it's the best thing ever.

Hiya suzywong,
Oz is definately great, did you feel a bit lonely when you first moved?
Isn't the weather gorgeous does it ever get cold in the day?

Hiya
I am in Brisbane - I had a different situation - moved to the UK - met dh, had dd1 and was pregnant with dd2 when we moved back - so my life had changed beyond recognition and so it was hard to reconnect with friends. A lot of them worked or were single so I had to make new friends. I guess it was easy - getting out to playgroups etc with my then toddler helped with that. I then just invited children and their mums over to play and it went from there. It was a little easier though as I had old friends to connect with and still had that friendship.
I love being back in Aus - I loved living in the UK but Aus is definitely better for us as a family. The quality of life and the lifestyle we have is something we could not have in the UK.
