I spoke to them about the pool and just before Christmas they were saying it was due to be done by the end of Jan!! It isn't on the website as it isn't completed, but they are only 'selling' on the swimming pool from Easter just in case there are teething problems. This is a family company that, when I called them recently, they remembered me, my job, my dog, and the kids names!!

We went there becasue it was right near the village where my mum grew up, that I went to every year as a kid. Lerryn is beautiful and hasn't changed in 30 years (my mum still has school friends who live there!).

Rock can be a bit full of Fulham Boys, but we have never seen any! We tend to go across to Padstow on the boat, last year we then went out into the bay in the speedboats that you get from Padstow and saw the dolphins!! It was amazing 1/2 hr watching them play with the boats fo £14 for the 4 of us!! The best bargain of the holiday

It isn't as close as some (about 1/2 hr) That is our dilemma this year. We love the beaches of Daymer Bay/Rock/ Padstow, but we cannot find a campsite as lovely as the Carlyon Bay Campsite nr St Austell (it has a beach, but not half as nice).

This becomes another question, Anyone know of a good campsite near Rock/Padstow that isn't a 'haven type' place but has a pool and a playground??

we stayed near Looe last year in this fantastic place - several converted farm cottages (sleeping 2, 4 or 6) grouped around a pool, games room, bbq area, play area etc - it was fantastic as our kids made friends with all the other guests' kids, so we could let them roam around the farm in the evening while we sat outside our cottage sipping wine, plus the pool was lovely and the farmer let the kids feed the animals in the morning. The coast around there isn't the best for sunbathing etc but it's very pretty and very accessible. The site is at www.wringworthy.co.uk
