It looks lovely but I'm unsure how muddy/hippy/back to nature it is

Has anyone been?

What's it like?

Any Parking?
Lots of walking?

TIA

looks lovely!! Says'However the paths are mostly mown grass and some gravel drives.' so unless its really bad weather shouldnt be too muddy!!

Never heard of it before but it looks lovely, I'd go if it was near where I live :)

Think there is an article in Country Living this month about these. I'll go and have a look and see if I still have it but the jist was that it was lovely and that the girls thought it was amazing. Will post if I can find it.

Looks as good in the mag as it does on the website. If we lived closer I'd take my dsd,ds & dd in a moment. From what I can gather from the article it is a well run day that uses 'fairies' as a focus to teach kids about the countryside. Both the organisers have huge links to the environment and that seems to be the theme. It says its £10 for 2 adults and 3 kids so won't be too expensive if you only stay a couple of hours. Doesn't sound too hippish although you'll always met at least one nutter at anything like that (my ds can spot them a mile off to go and talk to!) Looks like lots to make and do as well. Says there is a walk thru the woods but my impression is that it is mostly in one area, in a few tents with a cafe and beer tent. I reckon go if the weathers reasonably good and I'd love to hear what it's like! Sorry that's a bit long. Smile

It's the may Country Living, picture of a women's hand holding a basket of flowers wearing a stripey apron on the front by the way.

No that's perfect - just what I wanted to hear - I might take DD's BF as well (2 have so much more fun)

Its a shame we're away that weekend, as we'd have gone :(

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stop for a couple of hours with a 6 year old, 3 year and baby near the M1 on way from London to Yorkshire on Sunday?
