Day in Paris with DC -one with special needs - Any hints tips?

Planning trip to DLP but want to do a day trip into Paris. Definitely want to do the Eiffel tower but any other suggestions about what's good with kids.

Also looking for experiences of Special needs esp transport in Paris, metro . DS can walk but will mostly be in a special needs buggy. Thinking train into paris but would I then need to metro to the tower?

Recommendations for books that might help on the disability bit would also be gratefully appreciated

Eeek Parisian metro with SN buggy really not great. Line 14 is accessible and 1, 2 and 13 have been redone but most of the older lines are stairs only. Some have access to some lines but changes involve small dlufhts of stairs. 6 for the Eiffel Tower sometimes has lifts but there's often a gap or step up to the train itself. Can I recommend you look at taking the bus? The RATP have a great journey planner app.

Where will you be staying to go into Paris from? If DLP you're looking at RER A and most central stations are accessible in theory but Auber in particular is bad for broken lifts.

What sort of thing are DC interested in?

Not sure TBH - kids will be 7 and 5 (has ASD) when we go so looking for something to just give them a taster of france/paris iconic stuff.

Eiffel tower is a definite. Was wondering about doing an open top bus tour or river cruise or Notre Dame/sacre coeur and monmatre but not really sure how they would work in terms of transport between places and wondering what other people had found work with kids
