'At Bristol' - any good?

We are going to be near Bristol over the holidays with our 3 and 2 year olds. Would it be interesting for them or a bit over their heads?

My sister is over that way and takes her dd (31/2) quite regularly and she seems to enjoy it. Not sure exactly what is there but I'm sure someone will come along soon that can helpp out. Another good place for kids is Noah's Ark, out near nailsea, it is a petting farm type place with a lot of indoor areas (kind of loke soft play) if the weather isn't so good.

There are several sections to it, which you can visit individually. There's a science museum part which is very good, but would I think be too old for them. But there is a Rainforest section which they might well enjoy - lots of atmosphere, sound effects and some small animals IIRC. There's also an IMAX cinema.

Outside there are loads of fountains and paddling pools which are great in the summer for wading in, also it's a nice area for just wandering about in by the docks.

Lots of fun to be had. We went there a few months ago with our 9, 8, 5, and nearly 3 yos (as they were then) and they all enjoyed it. I do think it might be a bit over their heads, but if you would get something from it, why not?

At Bristol is good but quite expensive. It might be a bit old for 2-3 year olds though. Might they prefer Wildwalk which is attached to At Bristol - it's an indoor rainforest.

Ds is just starting to get to like At Bristol - he's nearly 5. It's a bit like a mini Science museum. The industrial museum on the docks is much more interesting for little ones (and free!), and if you're there at a weekend they do steam train rides.

We went recently with a 3 year old who LOVED it. I would really recommend it!

The Noah's Ark thing is run as Creationist propsganda - bear this in mind!

(I recommended @ Bristol by the way, not the noah's ark thing)

Thank you all. Will probably just do the Wildwalk and maybe the Imax.

We're probably going to do the Longleat safari too so that should take care of the animal side of the trip.
