LFH were rank for us - wouldn't look after a 2 and 3 yr old because they had 3 babies in their care at the time. FGS, that's why we booked there. Also forgot our breakfast. And to add insult to injury, the same day they refused to look after our children! Rank.

And every hotel has a house dog, which isn't looked after properly.

Noddyholder, have you seen my hotel thread? It's asking for a different thing but still, some great hotels on there. Hang on, will find it.

carla · 30/03/2006 09:25

It's funny, WWW, while we were staying there, another mum said she'd like to transfer to Babington House. Mega bucks.

What about the luxury appartments at Oasis ? Their spa is out of this world. I think the other centre parcs have the spas too?

Although I suppose the food aspect is off putting as you'd need to go to the restaurants?

noddyholder · 30/03/2006 12:28

I have been to the spa at center parcs and did enjoy it but the food wasn't great tbh and there were too many big family groups running riot in the communal areas! Can't face that atm but will look at OAsis

I was going to suggest centre parcs too. If you stay in their luxury houses, they have their own sauna and hot tub in the garden! And there is the on site spa. Their luxury resteraunts are nice too. And for your 11 year old there are thousands of activities to choose from that you do not need to be with him.

desperatehousewife · 30/03/2006 12:59

Noddy, you can borrow mountain bikes from the hotel probably and go biking. Also has 80 acres of grounds to walk around. A stack of great board games in the lounge area and a whole stack of dvds and possibly playstation stuff to use in your room. An inside swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool heated to 30degrees. Cheltenham is 4 miles away.

noddyholder · 30/03/2006 13:02

DHW Will look at that as it sounds hopeful Board games and playstation etc are what we are after plus nice grounds etc.Ds doesn't want to go to center parcs either as we have been and he says it would be better with his friends and he didn't like the food either!Bikes are a good idea too and swimming Thanks x
