disneyland paris hotels

Hi, We are looking to take our three year old daughter to Disneyland paris just before christmas. but we are concerned over the sleeping arrangements in the main resort hotels. Most of them only offer one room with two double beds. We are concerned that once we put her down to sleep in the evenings (8/9pm), we won't be able to do anything (watch tv, play games etc) if we are all in the same room. does anyone have any recommendations (rather than booking a suite which will be far too expensive). A few hotels outside the park offer room curtain separators, but then you have to pay for separate entrance to the park which can be as much as staying in the hotel! any help will be gratefully received. thanks

We stayed in the Travellers Explorer hotel in a room that had 2 separate sleeping areas with a proper wall and door dividing them. It was part of a Eurostar package and the shuttle bus took us to the Parks each morning.

Hi, does it work out to be much cheaper to stay away from the main disney hotels and get separate tickets or do you think it's worth being "on-site"? also, so you know what time the parades are on ( would it be past the little ones bed times at 8/9pm).

We are looking to do the same with our 3yr old! my logic is that we will be ok with that kind of arrangement after a busy day in the park we will be tired enough to go to bed/read by that sort of time anyway, and she will be so tired she will sleep through a bit of light/noise.

we've been looking at staying away from the resort and get the metro to the Disney train station. our logic is that the train station appears to be opposite the park entrance, so there is little difference in getting a train/ free shuttle bus.

Did you check the Explorers hotel? It could be a good compromise, I think it is called a Disney Affiliated hotel. Very near the Parks with free shuttle bus and separate sleeping area option if that is what you are after.

Can't help with sleeping situation but as for parade times this summer.
Main parade of dreams was 7pm for about 15-20 minutes. If you stand and watch at start near fantasyland then you can set off back to hotel by 7.15 whilst those further down parade are still waiting for it to go past.
Night time light parade was 10pm for about 25 minutes but fantastic.
Night time castle laser and light show is 11pm for approx 20 minutes.

Times may change for the winter season.

we booked a hotel outside the resort only one train station away. got an excellent deal on lastminute.com meant we got a junior suite in the 4* Relais Spa Chessy for about £250 ( had an extra 15% off ending today). reviews look good. now to tackle the park tickets!
