kids all have birthdays in the same week. i've never done parties-we've always gone away instead. i tried to book a few days in eurodisney for their b'days but couldn't believe the price. any ideas? 1st week in May. want to do something kiddy orientated (but where we can "crash out" at night with a drink!)

Where are you based?

Have you ever done Legoland? I know a fab kid-tastic hotel that does special packages for Legoland, has pool etc and is next door to ice rink/ski slope...

Yorkiegirl, have had too many reports about this. It's not cheap is it?!

Can't do links (I know, just being lazy, must try harder) but the web address is www.coppidbeech.com. It doesn't look gorgeous from the outside but the family rooms are ace (massive suites, with two rooms connected and seating area etc. Fitted the 5 of us easily). Breakfasts lovely. Windsor about 20 mins away. Legoland same. Ice-rink next door has 'beginners sessions' on sunday mornings, and I would imagine is dead quiet during the week...

Anything else?

Thanks, Orlando...will have a look at website.especially interested when you mentioned fitted "all five" of you.it's hard finding anywhere isn't it?!

Hi what age are the kids?
What kind of things do they like to do? Theme parks, running about in the woods, adventure playgrounds, museums, or more adventurous outdooractivities?
What kind of accomodation, B&B, hotel, self catering?
Budget?

cutekids · 22/03/2006 17:14

any ideas we would take into consideration to be honest.

With the kids I have always enjoyed self catering holidays, very relaxing as once the kids are in bed you can relax with a drink and don't have to sit in a cramped hotel room with the light off or go down to the bar and worry one has woken up.

We are just back from a fantastic place with 2 adventure playgrounds and acres of woodland. It would be lovely in the warmer months to sit out on the deck and let the kids exaust themselves in the woods. Very safe away from roads and many houses. It used to be a kids outdoor centre so the palygrounds are more than substantial.
