Paris with Tweens - any tips?

I am taking my kids, 2 x ds, 10 and 14, dd 12, to Paris for a couple of days next month. We are staying in an apartment in Montmartre, and of course they want to do the Eiffel Tower. There is so much to do but too much culture will switch them right off. Anyone got any good experiences of tours (is boat the best?) or places to eat or open air things to see for this age. Streets to walk down? Intend to travel by bus rather than metro because you see stuff. I just want it to be an experience, and one they love and remember. Thanks!

Get the open top bus tour - can hop on & off for 2 days. It is great to stay on for a complete circuit and then use it to get from sight to sight.

We got a Paris Pass which included Tube, all museums, the bus & a boat trip. Everything except the Tower!

Don't get a boat with food - get a cheap boat trip & buy a separate meal.

Arc de Triomph is great. Notre dame is also a good climb.

Montmartre is fab, great square of very good value restaurants to eat in whilst watching the street artists - just next to the Sacre Coeur. We stayed there last year.

Have a hot chocolate in Angelinas.
Walk over the bridges with all the padlocks on (Pont des Artes I think is one).

A walk around the Galleries Lafayette may be good for DD - and the ceiling is amazing.

Have fun - wish I could go back soon :)
