I did Newcastle to Holland a while ago. What do you need to know? YOu have a cabin for the night, food is ok and plentiful. I assume your child isn't weaning so take a butty box with tablets if you are still steralising.

We've done this crossing many times. On board facilities and cabins are great. They can provide a cot as well if you want one, unless you like sharing a smallish bed with a baby. And relax, once on board it's like being at home, much easier way to travel with kids than driving or being on a train, especially with a cabin as you have your own space to retreat to and sleep. Check the weather forecast - the crossing isn't always smooth even if the baby is. You may want to have some adult travel sickness medication on hand just in case so at least one of you is able to function if things get rough! Of course you'd need to check what was suitable if breastfeeding etc
