We are going to Canada when ds will be 13 months old, in 6 months time (plenty time to plan, hopefully) and would like everyone's experiences please.

The plane has to touch down for half an hour en-route so I'm aware of the ear popping problem and would like a remedy if anyone knows of one. Also, the time difference when we get there- it will be 2pm after an 11hr flight which left at 10am so what's best to do?

I've searched the archives (a bit) but was hoping for a bit more info.

you have to try and adjust to the time zone you are in.
We just got back from Aus with DS (4) and we had some struggles the first few nights (waking up wide awake in middle of night etc) but it wasn't long before he adjusted.

ear popping - give drinks/something to eat

We took jp (2) to Oz and did as KR did. When we got to Oz we all had about an hours sleep and then got on with it. Just put down to nap and sleep as usual, and wake up as usual (jp was very grumpy when woken for a few days). Also, sleep times as normal on the plane. During take off and landing we gave him a drink to keep swallowing. Good luck
