Hi, does anyone know if it's cheaper to buy an iPad at heathrow or Singapore airports, or is it better to just get them before we go? Thanks :)

Dunno, but we bought ds's in San Francisco and it was marginally cheaper there - $499 for the 32gb version. Think that translates to around £430 ish, depending on the exchange rate.

Thanks for the reply, did you buy it at the airport or in San Francisco itself?

No, went to an Apple store. Part of the whole experience. It was ds's actual birthday and he was made a bit of a fuss of. Also, they set it all up and gave him and me a tutorial.

Sorry for butting in but did it work okay over here or did you need to buy a special charger (sorry if that sounds a bit dim).

Try the uk apple store first for a refurb - I just got a 32gb one for £429. Yes it's a refurb but it still comes with a years guarantee. Might be worth considering to keep the uk contact should anything go wrong?

Yes, it's working fine over here. It plugs into the UK 3 pin adaptor I use for my iphone. Although we do have US/UK adaptors too, for other products.

Thanks for that :)
