Has anyone seen it? It?s recommended for a 6+ audience and we were considering taking DD who will be 4. I know it is quite dark but she loves the soundtrack. Tickets are £85 so I don't want to have to leave after 5 minutes!

Any advice?

Hold out for cheaper tickets if possible - online sites or those kiosks in the West End.
Mrs Trunchbowl is pretty scary....
Not sure.... Has she been to a pantomime or to the cinema?

DD (15) and I enjoyed it - we felt its strength lay in the lyrics and the excellent performances.

Possibly not enough action/dancing/slapstick for your DC.

It's fantastic but I would say 4 is too young. It is quite intense in places

You won't get tkts or other ticket booth tickets. It's sold out pretty much and there are queues for returns at the theatre each night

We went as part of kidsweek and the allocation for that sold in under 8 mins. Saying that we had £35 tickets halfway up the top balcony. We could still see fine though we were further away from the stage

A four year old won't have a clue what is going on during the acrobat/escapologist bit ( the soundtrack only features a small bit of that) but its very intense and appears repeatedly through the show.

Id wait until about the age of 5 or 6.

Thank you for your responses. Think we will leave it and hope its still about in 2 years time!
