Who else flies to Orlando from London airports except Virgin/BA?

I've just had a quote for a fly drive to Orlando for Easter 2007 for a family of 4 the price is over £3K for economy seats.

I've phoned Kuoni, they're closed and their website isn't very helpful.

Kuoni would probably charge you more than 3K!.

With regards to Orlando afaik only BA and Virgin hold those slots into that airport. You may want to look into flying into Sanford instead but that is some distance away from Orlando.

We flew into Miami in Sept, family of 4 and the flights were great, about £1500 and that included car hire for a week, these were with BA, booked through RCI. From what I can remember Miami to Orlando is about a 4 hour drive.

Might have a look at flying into Tampa with BA or maybe even going to NY and then getting a connecting flight.

What about Thomson and people like that? Does Cosmos still exist?

lots of people fly there (all the american airlines) but you would have to do a stop. Sometimes this can be quite nice if you get a good stop-over point or the wait isnt too long.
But if you're looking for a whole package then I dont know. people like travelbag and ebookers will put together a US package for you

Anything except 3k Mosschops. Will have a look at AA.

Yes AA or UA, Delta (although these sometimes code share with Virgin)
UA are great had a fantastically drunken flight with them once (hic) and AA have the largest seat pitch in economy, god I am full of useless information
where do you want to fly from and how much you looking to pay for flights, I will have a look for you

If it was a choice between flying direct or having a stopover in the US for a connecting flight, I'd go direct every time. Getting an onward connecting flight on same day in the US can be an endurance test. You need a lot of time (I would say a minimum of 2 hours between the flight's arrival into the US from the UK and the onward connecting flight).

I would also consider trailfinders.

Thomson fly into Sanford but only once a week.

Cosmos no longer exists.

Think AA would fly you into Charlotte (North Carolina) then you could get another flight from there into Orlando.

Would not think you'll end up paying much more than 3K because its Easter. Can you not travel a few days earlier, that will bring the cost down?.

MeerkatsUnite · 11/03/2006 18:55

AA are actually starting to replace some of the seats they took out (as they were losing money).

Mosschops, the kids finish school Friday March 30th next year and go back Mon 23rd April.

Flying from any London airport pref to Orlando international but Sanford is OK.

I don't think a lot of the flights have been released yet. AA aren't booking that far ahead.

TIA
