Can anyone recommend Cadbury World? What is there to do. Would it be good for DDs @11 and15 and is it good value for money?

We have been a couple of times, the last one when my children were nearly 11 and 8. I would say quite a lot of it is aimed at children and your 15-year-old might feel a bit old for it. There is some stuff about the history of Cadbury's, so I guess whether they like that depends on whether they are interested in that sort of stuff. There is some stuff that is definitely aimed at younger children, eg the Cadabra ride, writing name in chocolate, play areas.

We went a few months ago and were disappointed. We expected more of a factory tour, what we got was way too much about the history of Cadbury, which was quite repetitive and boring. When you have seen one hologram, you have seen them all!

You do get some "free" chocolate but when you factor in the entry price it is probably the most expensive chocolate I have ever eaten.

The ride is for tiny tots, the "writing you name in choc" wasn't available! the "make your own chocolate" was basically being handed a little paper cup od warm chocolate to which a lady added biscuit bits or marshmallows at your request Hmm

What was available was having your photo taken and sold to you for vast expense. There was also an interactive area where little kids could jump about popping vitual bubbles but it was massively overcrowded and a place where you posed for a photo which was digitally enhanced into a picture of a chocolate sculpture (to be purchased on the way out!!).

Overall totally crap.

Well we loved it!

The history of Cadbury wasn't boring at all, the company were pioneers in workers rights which I didn't know, very interesting.

It IS an expensive day out but no more so than anything else.
