dh and I are planning a weekend away somewhere - ideally with a swiming pool and good restaurant. kids'tea time and some sort of play area would be good too. I can only find the well-known ones - Moonfleet Manor and its sisters and Calcot Manor. Any more? Am also quite intrigued by the Evesham Hotel - anyone been there? Can't decide whether it sounds great or if they're trying too hard to be whacky, whihc would really start to grate.

thanks - I had a look through old threads as I knew it had been done - somehow managed to miss it.

We went to the Knoll House Hotel, Studland Bay, Dorset. DD was only 6 months at the time so we didn't make full use of the facilities. It was very child friendly, separate children's dining room and a kitchen you could access 24 hours. They had staff patrolling the corridors at nighttime to allow you to go and have a meal, we brought our monitor and gave it to the girl on our section. We turned up late the first night due to traffic and they delivered us a lovely hot meal to the room even though it a bit later than normally allowed.

I looked at Knoll House - love the area - but I was put off by their particular take on child-friendly - they have seperate tea and dining room for the children because children aren't allowed in the main dining room Shock. Not even for lunch!!!!
