This is going to be a well-earned trip of a lifetime probably and we can't afford to get ripped off. We don't need luxury but we do need convenience and time.

We have DS (5), DD (almost 4) and DS (will be 3 months and hopefully still bf).

We have never been before. Where do we stay? Who do we book with? what do we need to know?

Many tia

Hi I went last year end July from Liverpool. Drove to the euro tunnel (took 4hrs and cost £60 per car one way). 25 mins through tunel and about 2.5 hrs other side. We stayed at the Cheyenne or 3 nits which i think is plenty as its not as big as you'd imagine. We paid £750 total for 3 nights 2 adults and 2 kids over 2. We stayed b&b (you could get a buffet tea for £60 for the four of us if we wanted which we did 2 nights).

Food is very very expensive in the park -cost me £12 for not dog and coke!!!!! Expect to pay £10 a pint too!!!! I took tons of snacks a crisps for the kids with me so saved there.

We went onto a key camp in brittany afterwards but expect the tunnel wouldnt have been much more cost to get back.

To be honest, given that you are saving for it and it's a lot of cash, I would seriously consider something else as most people I know who have been say its okay but not worth breaking the bank for - even with their love of princesses my 2 dds were bored by day 3. They still say the key camp was much better and it cost the same for a week there as I cost for Disney. Key camp also includes activities such as water parks, horse riding, kayaking etc

Not trying to put you off, just helping you get best value for your money!

We stayed in a caravan in south Brittany with jantom holidays and paid £750/week in school holidays- you can get return ferry from plymouth to roscoff which is only 90 mins from the site???

We stayed in a non Disney hotel, the Explorers, which was excellent and just a few minutes on free shuttle.
We took a shared minibus transfer from the airport with super shuttle which is cheaper.
You spend as much on food as you want TBH. We shared things like cokes, baguettes etc because they r massive.

We have done Eurodisney once and keycamp many times in south of france also. Keycamp is great value but I must admit nothing compared to Eurodisney-completely different experience to Keycamp really.
Star I would actually advise waiting till the dcs are a little older-6/7ish maybe.I know mine would not have enjoyed it half as much if they had gone at 4 or 5.Mine were 10 and 7 and had a ball-really got it and remember it really well also.
If you go,I would advise a package-we booked everything together and stayed in Cheyenne also-4 of us in a family room, which was fine and clean etc ,big breakfast buffet in a huge cafe place included with loads of cereals, fruit, juice, crusty rolls etc-as much as you want and I used to fill a bag with enough rolls etc for lunch on the move also . Food is a real rip-off,all fast food places at extortionate prices.
Our package included transfer tickets from airport to the park and this was great-you cant miss a great big disney bus outside the airport and saves messing around etc.
Would love to go back again but would do self-catering I think and stay outside of park simply so we could cook/fend for ourselves etc. There is a train station in the park so very easy to get in and out of it.It is very tiring with loads of walking to fit everything in-is there any way you could leave baby behind maybe?
All in all I would highly recommend it Star but def when dcs are a little older-they will tire quickly of princess castles, stuff for little ones etc.I know loads of families do it with little ones but I feel its a hell of a lot of money and you want them to remember it and really understand it . We found far more to do with slightly older dcs. Other tip is take a spare pair of trainers/shoes for everyone-we had a wet day there and shoes were soaked etc and very hard to dry out simply overnight.
Whatever you decide Star, hope you all enjoy it!

I would say definitely go mid week. It got really busy on Thursday and Friday when we were there and i would imagine Saturdays would be grim. We stayed 4 nights. Far too long. I would say stay 2 or 3. Our kids absolutely loved the one character meal we paid for - expensive but worth it for the joy of meeting about a dozen characters and getting their autographs. I wished we had booked a second meal.
The night time fireworks are so magical my mum and I cried! Our dc are only 6 and 4 but managed to stay awake and it was so worth it. I would definitely recommend it.
We stayed at the new York hotel which was lovely and really convenient. It cost us £800 for the four nights but we spent about the same on travel and food, so an expensive holiday. Next time we will go for two nights to the Disneyland hotel (£'s) but you get the character breakfast and save about fifteen minutes each way walking.
