Anaheim- universal Studios or Disney

Title says it all really - DC's 14 & 11 have been to Disney Florida, not into white knuckle rides and DH not into any kind of rides! So which one would we get more out of?

Carmel-by-the-sea is gorgeous and very relaxed after LA/Anaheim. It has a great beach too. It's further north than Santa Barbara though. You're right, it will be very hot inland, though it will also be pretty hot at the coast!

what sort of temperatures are we talking about late june/early july?

Probably high 20s in Anaheim. Much hotter in Vegas, quite a lot cooler in San Francisco.
