Booking a holiday to Egypt but have come across so many hotels don't know where to now pick, love the look of the Four seasons, Hyatt, coral sea resort or even the holiday village!

Has anyone been & where would you recommend please?

I haven't been to Egypt, but was looking to go for Christmas before I chose somewhere else. A friend has been with her DC, to the Holiday Village and can't rate it highly enough in terms of facilities for the DC and things to do. She said you wouldn't need to go off the resort if you didn't want to. Also that the food was really good and lots of choice and in fact better than when she stayed at Sandals in the Carribean.

I think the Sensatori is similar too.

I've just got back from Coral Sea (which is a Thomson Sensetori).

It's bloody fab for kids.

It's right on the beach, which has a covered playground.

There is a family pool with slides etc

The kids club and entertainment is fantastic

It was full of families, so I'm certain your DC will make friends

There is a family section in the main restaurant with a children's buffet which opens early for evening meals

The staff are brilliant with kids

And when the kids are off with the kids clubs there are Adult Only pools/bars/restaurants so you can enjoy some peace and quiet Smile

I've been to Aqua Blu which perhaps isn't quite as upmarket as some of the ones you've mentioned. However for kids it is the best hotel ever. It has a fab water park in the hotel grounds which will keep them entertained, different pools, lazy river, loads of slides. Its amazing.

We went and I was happy with the hotel. Very clean. Food was fine.

Wow sounds great, thank you, can't wait to get something booked, don't really want to leave the hotel/beach so really want everything to be there especially to entertain the kids so they don't get bored.

Superslattern - How long did you go for? we can't decide if we should go for 10 days or just go for the 2 weeks, would we get bored if we did 2 weeks?

Superslattern Do you mean you stayed at the Sensatori hotel in Sharm?

Sensatori is the Coral Sea. The First Choice Holiday Village is/was also a Coral Sea resort. (the coral sea holiday village)

HTH. I spent a lot of time researching before we decided to go to Mexico again.

I've stayed in Egypt 5 times and the holiday village was the best one by far.

So much to do for the kids, pools are great they did water zorbing, canoeing, zip wires, survival skills on the beach (private beach at this hotel) etc etc.

Well worth spending a bit extra and going here, we
Booked agian next year. Ours will be 7&11.

Anyone going to Egypt if recommend staying in nabq bay anyway, much nicer & quieter than Naama bay and still plenty to do. I think coral sea was next to holiday village..

We went to the Stella Di Mare. It was great. Not perfect, but very good quality for the money, and the best thing was that it was just outside the centre of Naama Bay and right on the beach, with a beautiful view of the bay. Naama can be quite loud and brash and tacky, to put it mildly, so it's better to be away from the centre and just a short taxi ride into town if you choose to go there at night for a change of scenery with restaurants etc. Naama Bay consists of a ribbon of hotels along a main road so many of them are on the 'wrong' side and you have to cross over a really busy road to get to the beach, which with children would be a nightmare.

We went to the Holiday Village with Thomson/First choice and honestly couldn't rate it highly enough. In fact, it's really raised the bar for booking next year's holiday, we have Thomas Cook vouchers to spend but almost considered not using them to go back with First Choice.
