Hello, have just booked flights with those thieving bastards much loved low fares airline Ryan air Hmm we are travelling to my mums in france. I've not flown with DD yet who will be 1 at the time of travel and i was hoping someone could answer a few questions for me!
TIA
Can I take a bottle of milk on board? (do I need to taste it etc)
What about food pouches?
We are only taking cabin bags because I refuse to pay fifty pounds to check and can I take a small separate bag of toys books etc for DD or does it all need to fit in the cabin bag?
Smile

I think it ALL has to fit in the cabin bag, they've gotten really strict on this.

Sometimes no separate handbag is allowed for yourself, no matter how small it is!

Check the Ryanair website re the milk, also the airport's websites (for where you are leaving from and travelling to). If your mum is meeting you at the airport get her to bring a bottle of milk in a coolbag (if your DD is on cow's milk by then) so that you have something to give her immediately you arrive.

Someone linked a while ago to a travel jacket that some clever person designed when Ryanair started to charge for farting everything - it has huge pockets and can carry pounds and pounds of extra stuff. It's only about £30 so might be worth getting.

Ah, thats a good idea - am also thinking about taking my ancient barbour jacket everything but the kitchen sink fits in there as its so practical. She's on a pretty relaxed 4 hour feeding schedule at the moment so I'm sure it will work out!

You are allowed to bring things like fruit, biscuits, cakes, crisps, and sandwiches from home through security, but not drinks or yoghurts or purees. Play safe by buying any food and drinks after security and you can carry them separately onto the plane in a carrier bag as they are for consumption. Interestingly duty free purchases after security don't need to be put in your hand luggage!

Boots will be able to supply formula cartons and baby food.

They are so strict, basically because they are money grabbing bastards! You can take ONE bag on the aircraft, so not even a small handbag along with your bag to put your passports and money in, it's ridiculous. We also had to get anything we bought in duty free into that bag. Your baby will not get a baggage allowance, unless you pay for one, so any milk or food will also have to go in your one bag you can take on.

I wouldn't fly with them again if you paid me! By the time u have paid the add ons and fines from baggage, not printed tickets, you could have hired a bloody helicopter! Rip off merchants!! You can see how much I love them!

Charlieboo I feel your pain! I HATE THEM!!!
However, they are the only people that fly to where my mum lives so we are over a barrel. does anyone know if Boots sells Ellas kitchen pouches?
