Majorca with 14mo: any tips?

We're going to Majorca with my family and taking 13mo DS. I'm a little anxious about the flight and would be grateful for any advice on how to keep a toddler amused on the plane.

Also, do you have any general tips for this kind of holiday? It's an all inclusive hotel resort so there should be plenty of entertainment. It's going to be hot so I'm taking plenty of factor 50 and cover ups.

We're taking a fold-up buggy- do we have to pay for this as extra lUggage on the plane? We're also toying with the idea of taking one of those backpack carriers for DS- has anyone else foundthis useful on this type of holiday?

Hi, you don't have to pay for a buggy on the flight, it just goes on the flight as you board. Take lots of snacks and things for ds to do on the plane, colouring, crayons, cbeebies magazine, little books etc.

Take your calpol and thermometer just incase, plenty of factor 50, plenty of changes of clothes for ds! Have a great time

We had a backpack carrier and did a couple of hikes, but that was June, I wouldn't do this in July/August. For everything else the buggy was ok and Daddy's shoulder also was often used.

We spend the morning at the beach, had lunch, a long siesta and back to the beach after 4pm. It will be far too hot otherwise.

There are lots of English speaking GPs on the island and I had no problem communicating in the pharmacy in English as well. We always take Calpol/Nurofen and a thermometer with us, DD has the habit of getting fever in the middle of the night. Just make sure you have a good travel insurance in place.
