Snibston Discovery Museum? www.leics.gov.uk/index/leisure_tourism/museums/snibston/snibston_explore.htm

Sudbury Museum of Childhood is good. National trust, stuff to do and play with inside, good adventure playground outside, nice cafe (but gets v long queues).

Trentham gardens and Monkey park. Nice gardens, good playground, barefoot walk (with squishy mud at one section, my 4 yr old loved it) and then a separate enclosed monkey park nearby.

Sea life centre in Birmingham, been with DD when 1 & 3 and she enjoyed both times.

Twycross zoo.

Conkers (maybee better for older children).

Whereabouts in the midlands would you be based?

CMOTDibbler · 30/06/2012 21:52

Depends where in the Midlands. DS has really enjoyed Conkers, W Mid Safari Park, Black Country Living Museum, Thinktank in Birmingham, Hatton Park, and Drayton Manor.

Sealife centre in Birmingham is pants imo.

Cotswold farm park is great for that age group, but depends where in the midlands you are

Thanks all! I'll check out those suggestions. :)
I think it needs to be nearer Birmingham. I need somewhere equidistant from Bristol and Sheffield for a meet up with friends and their children.
