dost · 29/06/2012 16:17

Hi
It might be so expensive as all scottish and irish schools are now on holiday so prices will be bumped up from now till september!!

IsLovingAndGiving · 29/06/2012 18:58

We looked in to a 10 night stay at a camping site an hour from paris with keycamp. The deal included 2 days at disney resort and the quote came to £1500 including the ferry.

FioFio · 29/06/2012 18:59

for 2 nights it's 1400 quid
jesus

rookiemater · 29/06/2012 21:28

This is why we have booked Disneyworld for next Easter, £2000 for flights and £600 for 2 weeks accomodation in 2 bed condo, not too bad for a 2 week hol compared to £1500 for 3 nights in Disneyland Paris staying at non Disney hotel

Southwest · 30/06/2012 02:27

Wow it amazing isn't it?

Also horrified at prices either through disney site or booking hotels independently. We decided to make a week of it and stay a little away for the park. We are 5 adults and 4 children and have booked a house - google 'Nemo apartment disneyland'. It is 800 euros for a week next May half term, tunnel free using Tesco vouchers. Tickets for disney approx £100 pp for 3 days. 8km form Disney so will drive there or take the train from Val D'Europe shopping centre which is close by and has free all day parking. We can also take the train from there into Paris for a couple of days (30 mins). At least it feels like a weeks holiday and £1400 for 8 seems really good value. The same owners also have smaller 'Dory apartment' for 500 Euro and 'Mickey' and 'Minnie' apartments right at Val D'Europe so no driving just jump on the train. Not sure if any of this would suit you.

I got family of 3 staying in Disneyland Santa fe hotel 4 nights in October for £600 (flights not included) I think it was on the Disney website

We always found the cheapest time to go was when they had the kids stay and play for free (Under 12s) between 4th/5th ish January until mid March (before Easter holidays). Self drive and ferry is the cheapest method of getting there 9 times out of 10.

Davey Crockett can sometimes have better offers than the rest of Disnet accom - but its be aware its off site and you do need your car.

Its bloody cold in January. You need to be prepared for this with proper layers an warm clothing. I am talking tights/thermals under trousers, 2/3 pairs of socks, hats, gloves, scarves etc if you are going to last 10/12 hours outside.

That said though the advnatage is very short queues (as long as you dint go in Feb half term). If you go as soon as the offer starts in early January you benefit from special offers in alot of the restaurants in Disney and sales in all of the shops in Disney and can pretty much walk on and off the rides with little or no queues.

Tbh - we have not been back to Euro Disney in recent years because its so over priced. If you are not stuck to school holidays a week in Florida in a cheap motel would not be hell of alot more money and a bigger and better experience. Its also hell of alot cheaper to eat on and off site than at Euro Disney. The jetlag with Florida is when you get home as opposed to when you get there - so a week is doable if you cannot afford a fortnight.

pumpkinsweetie · 01/07/2012 09:45

That sounds like a good deal rookiemaster, is that disney florida?
Im thinking about saving up to take my children there in 2014, but when i put everything into the calculator it came to £6000ish, shocking!! What website or catalogue did you get your deal from rookie?

Queenofcake · 01/07/2012 09:52

No the Sante Fe is Euro Disney.

Thomson had cheap flights in June to Florida at under £200 a head. You need to keep looking though - like checking your emails every day - check loads of websites and make sure you are signed uop to hotukdeals etc. The just book as soon as you see the cheapies come up.

Queenofcake · 01/07/2012 09:57

We used to book (when we had the spare cash) Florida ourselves. Flights then condo then disney tickets.

Kayak is good for flights and you can sign upto daily emails with your search results. It even sends you a graph to show if the flights you are after are going up or down in price.

Cosmos holidays sometimes have random cheap packages.

Condos work out cheaper than villas and have all the same advantages except you share a pool but then you dont pay extra for the pool heating like in a villa.

Off site motels especially International Drive are the cheapest form of accommodation.

Eating offsite from Disney works out very very cheap.

You may like ti familiarise yourself with The Dibb (google it) if planning a Florida Disney trip.

littleducks · 01/07/2012 10:03

I booked flights and hotel last night for 3 nights in August (partner hotel so nearby but not proper disney) 870 for the four of us, but i syupidely forgot to factor in transfer cost Blush which is 40 for train but if plane is delayed we would miss it and have to fork out again, so may have to get slower and pricier bus

Then food (we have breakfasts at hotel included) and park tickets for one day (we have SKY tickets) will bump it up. Im expecting to pay up to 1500 too Sad will be a once in a lifetime trip I think, can't really justify it

bigpaws · 01/07/2012 21:29

We paid £1,400 for 2 adults & 2 children, 4 nights in Santa Fe hotel this August, including Euro Star.
Haven't been before so it is a family treat (or nightmare!!) Confused

Southwest · 02/07/2012 09:23

Wow thanks everyone

Looks like that's what it costs

We are tied to France and our dates not least because my Sis is flying across from the States to see us Grin

I will let you know how we get on

We paid £1800 for DLP for 3 nights. Then for an extra £1000 we went to florida 9 months later.

sunnyday123 · 02/07/2012 23:04

wow so expensive! Me, DH and 2 DDs went the last week july last year (school hols) for 3 nights in the cheyenne - £750 for all of us B&B inc tickets! We then got eurotunnel for £60 and drove!

To be honest i don't think Eurodisney is worth much more than that - my girls (age 4 and 6) loved it but we'd covered everything by the end of the 2nd day and I'd never go back - for me it wasnt that much bigger than a theme park here. Save your money - its also ridiculously expensive there too

rookiemater · 07/07/2012 20:10

Sorry to take so long to respond pumpkin.
We booked flights separately - am tied into school holidays and regional airport so did a lot of searching on skyscanner and got them as soon as they were released, then got the appartment through Owners direct, by checking out what was good on trip advisor and then googling to see how cheaply I could get it ( something I enjoy doing as I love a bargain Smile)
