Tower of London

I'm taking my 5 year old daughter to the Tower of London tomorrow. Is there anything I can do to make the day as much fun as possible? Bits to point out (like the old toilet), or random, exciting facts? I want her to learn, have fun, and most importantly, not get too tired!

Is the Princes in the Tower story too grisly for a child? She does like gruesome stories, but also gets a bit scared.

Not been into the Tower for ages, but other ideas before or after:

Short boat trip on the Thames before or after, maybe before so you approach as the prisoners used to.

Tower Bridge opening and closing, and make sure you go up Tower Bridge to the exhibition, to get up high to see London and the Tower from above, she will go up for free if she is "under 5" :)

I was thinking of the Tower Bridge exhibition aswell. Does the bridge open at certain times? Where do you do the short boat trips from? I've only seen the big ones. Thank you!

The tower itself might be enough for the day. We took ds1 (6) at easter and he had a great time.
If you want to see the crown jewels, do that 1st as the queues get big there.
I'd avoid the torture exhibition in one of the towers, not really suitable for little dc
Princes in tower sad, but not gruesome iyswim
Giftshop sells a kids guidebook called tower power which ds1 much enjoyed
