You could look online at the alistair sawday guide. It has maps of all the recommended places. Have a great time wherever you go!

Waterside Inn is the biz but poss too expensive?

If I were you would blow all the cash on food go to Gordon Ramsay in Royal Hospital Rd and stay at home

there's that foodie place in Oxford but it's vastly expensive (manoir something or other)

that Victoria place has great food

also Glasshouse in Kew for food (but you'd need a hotel)

The Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons? May be a bit too far to go.

Glasshouse is great (discovered it before it got a star, natch), but it's pretty close to home, and although it's been a while I quite fancied something different. I did wonder about Gordon Ramsey's - dh does lament the fact he's never been - and the Manoir is a definite possibility. we went about 4 years ago and loved it. will check out the Waterside - is that in Bray?
