..... Which bits are the must sees and have you got any more off the beaten track experiences?

DC are baby, toddler and tween.

Also any tips on how to get from the airport to our accommodation?

Thanks in advance

Which airport and where are you staying? If Marco Polo, you just get the vaporetto. It stops at Lido if you're staying there. All is lovely - just wander and get lost. Murano and Burano both worth visiting

It's Treviso uh oh!

Oh, not been to that one but I'd bank on there being buses laid on to get you to a vaporetto stop. Venice is wonderful, hope you enjoy it.

The Jewish quarter is brilliant. A night time boat ride is a must. Lots of quirky little streets everywhere that u can spend days walking about eating pastries and pizzas
Sold from little cubby holes inthe wall. Envy. Lido beach is lovely, u can take a water taxi there. The gondola rides are over priced but lovely. Enjoy.

Have a great holiday, but pleas take very good care of your valuables. Pickpocketing is rife in Venice, especially on the vaporettos.

Treviso is easy to get to the city - you just step eight outside the airport and the buses are there. What's difficult is getting the bus back - there are about 50 bus stops in teh same square and all the buses look the same. Look at where you get ofrf the bus (take a note of the type of bus - orange or blue, and the company name) and ask them what stop you need to get back.

The top two must-sees are St. Mark's Square (and again at night) and the Rialto bridge - the absolute best thing you can do in Venice is to just wander. You only need to go a few streets back from the touristy areas and you'll be in a quiet little square somewhere. Good luck with buggies though as there are bridges every few undred yards - I couldn't face it before mine were able to walk :) And I woudln't worry about the pick-pocketing either, tbh - as long as you take sensible precautions I'm sure you'll be fine. I've been going twice a year for a about 15 years and I've never once been pickpocketed.
