Manchester without kids.

Hey ladies, my DH & I have, by some miracle, been able to book a long weekend to Manchester at the end of June (without the children)! We've got tickets on the Sunday night to see The Stone Roses - any ideas what we could do the rest of the time (besides sleeping and resurrecting our sex life)?

Lucky you! Comedy store at deansgate locks is good.

I know. It's almost too good to be true! Thanks for the tip. Had a look on their website - they offer packages that include food. Is it worth our while eating there too, or just going to see the show? Never been to Manchester before so pretty clueless.

We live about an hour from Manchester and used to go there pre DC. We had a child free weekend in London last year and went to the comedy store there one night cos it's such a good night out IMO. Don't know if you've been to the London one before but the Manchester one us quite different: bigger and more modern, tho same format of show.

I've not eaten at the comedy store in Manchester but there are lots of other bars at deansgate locks so there should be a choice of places to eat/drink.

I'm so jealous! We have 5mo DD now do it'll be a while before we have a weekend away again!

Plus it's feisty central si you could eat anywhere beforehand (tho I think you'd need to eat quite early). The benefit to eating there would be avoiding the stress if arriving late (seats are not reserved - or at least they weren't last time we went - and IMO comedy shows are much more enjoyable when you have a decent seat that enables you to engage with the comedian (not out loud obv Grin just don't like being too high or off to the side too much).

*fairly not feisty!

If only we knew pre-child how rare opportunities like this would be! Can't wait. Booked tickets for the Friday - thanks for the tip.
