Is Camelot a good day out?
My family and I are heading to Lancashire for our summer hols and I fancied taking the kids; ds1-5 yrs and dts 3 yrs to Camelot.
It's a wee bit pricey, but is it worth it?

Not pricey compared to Alton Towers or Blackpool. Check out internet or website cos we have never paid full admission price. Kids under 1m are free if I remember correctly. And yes we've always enjoyed our days out there.

The family ticket is £56. Does that sound about right. How old are your kids.

The 'shows' were good (jousting). I went with older kids so not sure how much there is for 3 and 5yo. The general atmosphere etc is good. And I think there is a petting farm bit. Sorry, not much help!

Its not too bad for a day out. I went in august with Ds who was 22mths, my cousin who was 10 and my sister 18. Ds actually quite enjoyed it especially the jousting. He was a bit too small for a lot of the little kids rides but your 3 and 5yr old would be the right height. They had enough going to keep the whole family entertained as there is also a farm bit. I would recommend taking a picnic to keep costs down.

My eldests are now 15 and 12, my small person is 10 months. Have been going fairly regularly since they were a bit older than yours. Have never been in the rain as would imagine it would be quite restricted, but I think it's aimed young as there aren't many big rides. Also is a petting farm and the jousting, which ds1 adored, and there used to be a sooty show as well.

It's a bit rough, frankly. You might be better off with your kids' ages at Gulliver's World in Warrington ; or you could go across to Yorkshire and try Lightwater Valley

Which bit of Lancs are you staying in?

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments.
We're staying at Cala Gran Haven Park (hope that's ok). The 2 other parks look fantastic but maybe a little bit far to travel.
I will bear them in mind though, thanks again.
