It's my DS's half term this week so I took them to @Bristol today.
It was a really full day out.A bit expensive to see all three attractions, but my DS's 7yo had a great time.We left about 8:30 this morning and have only just got back(6:30pm).So much to see and do for slightly older children.
The only annoying thing was that, they had nowhere to eat packed lunches.I'd taken our own lunch as the addmission was so expensive.I asked one of the staff if there was somewhere indoors, but was told we had to eat outside,on a very cold day. I did mention this on their customer questionnaire, so you never know they may change their policy.

Ds and I went to the Imax cinema there yesterday, it was fantastic! It was the 3D Sharks one and it felt like the jellyfish must be right in front of your face, really amazing. Dh and I are are thinkign of going alone later in the week it's so cool Jac34, I've eaten a packed lunch inside, if you just do it I don't think they'd bother to tell you off.

I've been thinking of taking my daughters there but am wondering if they are still a bit young 2.6 & 5 Is it more aimed at older children?

kids said they saw a film about putting a condom on a banana

I think they'd like the explore bit albatros. There's even a bit where you can go back in the womb and be born. (It's just a big tent thing that shakes) I'd recommmend it to anyone though.

Younger children would still enjoy it,the "Wild walk" has lots of tanks of fish, frogs, insects, etc, also some sort of botanical garden bits. It's just that older children would proberbly understand more. I think under 5's are free.
We have a simular thing to explore, in Cardiff called Techniquest.I used to take my DS's there for "toddler" days when they were very young.

Last night I emailed @Bristol to complain about there being nowhere to eat packed lunches, and being told to go outside in the cold.
Today, I had a very polite responce appologising, also said that, they have instructed all front of house staff, to allow families to eat their lunches at the inside seating areas.
So now it's an even better venue
