....and please give me a packing list!

Me and DS both have the 15kg luggage each, and a 5kg hand luggage each.
1 week hol to tunisia
Need to take beach towels (2 each) and PULL UPS (these will def bump up the luggage weight.
I don't know what to pack!

Am considering those superlight Sub-zero cases, anyone used these?

I have a sub zero case-the little stand things on the bottom -1of them gone after first use -so it is unbalanced.

Can you take it back Anniewoo? The feet are a bit odd on them aren't they!

We're off for 10 days in the sun in the summer and will take (for 2 adults and 2 children) 1 suitcase and 4 x hand luggage. We've previously taken 2 suitcases and found that we've hardly worn half of what we took hence the drop to 1 suitcase.

Tips include:
-micro fibre towels for the beach (try places like Mountain Warehouse for these)
-sun suits for the children (lightweight and dry really quickly so can be washed and dried overnight)
-buy toiletries and suncream there or just take stuff to share ie. rather than everyone taking their own special shower gel/shampoo take a multi-purpose one for everyone
-stay somewhere that has a washing machine

No can't take it back. Bought in U.K. and i don't live in the U.K. Sad

SportsDirect have cheap microfibre towels amongst the camping stuff.

Look: if you have been travelling by train it is highly unlikely that you have been lugging a case over 15kgs, unless you are an Olympic Shot Putter. Bung a load of stuff in a case now and weigh it - it will put your mnd at rest.

I start with v light weight bags, not huge...less space to fill the less I'll take!Buy beach towels while there if not provided (most Thomson resorts let you hire,2 towels for €10 deposit and you can exchange them for new every 2-3 days), swimmers I buy there, not brand name usually but who cares lol...I take mix n match outfits for us all, everything I pack should have at least 3-4 options as an outfit. One pair runners for travelling and one pair flipflops. Luggage has never been more than 11kgs. Good luck, and have a fab holiday! Smile

when did it go down to 15kg?? It always used to be 20kg, it certainly was last time I flew!

Blu · 12/06/2012 11:05

It varies. Lots of charter and budget lines have reduced the allowance to 15kg.
