Packing spreadsheet?

We are off on holiday on Saturday - ferry to Calais and then driving down to Burgundy for a week.
I am all over the shop about what we're taking, and can't seem to order my thoughts.

I remember people talking about a packing spreadsheet - does anyone have it or know of anything similar?

Oh and any ideas on what to take on holiday for a week with a preschooler and a 14 month old much appreciated!

Bumping as I need access to the spreadsheet too Smile

Have a great time Ali.

Personally with a preschooler and a 14 month old I would be taking wine and valium Wink

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 30/05/2012 22:19

There will be a lot of wine, no danger there! Grin

Right well clearly no-one has it, or if they do they don't want to share. I am muddling along alone, so far I have spent an inordinate amount of money in Boots, only to get home and find that we had 50% of the things anyway

Would like too. But for emigration.

nothingoldcanstay · 31/05/2012 17:20

Packing spreadsheet pointless at that age because what they need changes with every growth spurt, mood or change in diet IMO.

I wouldn't worry about double buying in Boots either. Everyone has another bottle/tube of the same stuff they have just brought at the back of the bathroom drawer, in the boot of the car or in that bag you brought back from the trip two months ago.
The only exception will be the one thing you actually need and then Boots will have sold out anyway.

Don't forget nail clippers/nail scissors as sharp nails grow quickly on holiday though

Right, let's do one between us.

Firstly check on wunderground to get an accurate forecast. That should make choosing clothes a little easier.

What are you staying in?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 31/05/2012 18:07

I can email you mine if you like, it's ver organised.

ENormaSnob · 31/05/2012 18:15

Jareth, could I have a copy too please?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 31/05/2012 18:22

PM me email addresses and I'll ping it over.

God, I hope it's not a massive disappointment now I've built it up Confused

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 31/05/2012 20:46

Oh Jareth that would be amazing, I will PM now.

ENorma - we're staying at my parents holiday home. So things like bedding and towels are covered except for the baby.
The weather is looking variable. Warm, but quite possibly wet some of the time.

I have had to buy DH a pair of Speedos because the local pool won't allow baggy trunks Grin He is mortified at the thought of wearing them in front of my mother GrinGrin

Arion · 31/05/2012 22:20

Hi Jareth' I've PM'd you, please can I get a copy. On holiday soon and DH has suggested a packing list so would be one step ahead! Wink

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 31/05/2012 22:22

Ooh please could I have a packing spreadsheet

I should be packing instead of being on Mumsnet and drinking wine

Arion · 31/05/2012 22:35

Thank you Thanks

noramum · 01/06/2012 11:16

There are shops in France and France does adorable baby clothing.

The only things I always check are:
nurofen/calpol as DD has the tendency to get fever in the middle of the night
health insurance
credit card
if bottle feeding: enough formula powder

Otherwise toiletteries, some toys, clothes (I do 2 outfits a day if I don't have a washing machine) and I love layers. Thin clothes go with a cardigan or on its own.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 01/06/2012 12:37

Was it any good?

Unexpected - PM me your email address and I'll fling it over Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/06/2012 12:57

noramum - I know, but I'm going on holiday, not a shopping trip :) I shall be frequenting food shops and nothing else if I can help it!

OP posts:
ENormaSnob · 01/06/2012 13:12

Got it thanks Jareth.

Thanks and Wine

Will be printing it out at work later, no doubt my colleagues will want a copy too!
