Fil has never been abroad - but has passport 7 yrs now! Wants to take a trip abroad. I suggested Canada even though I have never been. Any suggestions on a 10 -14 day package holiday where they are taken to different places and generally looked after?

Try saga, my mum goes with them and gets very well looked after.

Another recommendation for saga, my parents went last year with them for the first time and really loved it and are going again this year(on a cruise to Russia) They go on loads of holidays and I never heard them rave so much as they did about the one last year. They said that there were lots of solo travellers.

Italy is beautiful. PILs (not quite as old at 65 yet) love Italy and always keep going back. They really enjoyed Canada too.

Can't thiink who PILs use - will ask them. They often do the types of holidays where you mmove about from one place to next, normally staying in some lovely places.

PILs used Thomas Cook for a conducted tour when they went to Canada.

For the others thaey have done in Europe they generally use Page & Moy (sp???) and have always been very impressed.

Saga is fantastic apparently - my Mum uses them all the time, and did an escorted tour in Canada, which was great. also their prices include insurance - which can be a nightmare for over 65's
