Hi all we are off on our first trip to legoland tommorow its about an hour and a half drive from us so will need to leave early to get there. Dcs are 6 and 7 and don't know we are going so will be a massive surprise for them.

What advice does a Legoland virgin need. Thanks in advance Grin

What did you think of Chessington?

shaka12003 · 06/05/2012 20:52

Chessington was fantastic my dcs are 6 and 7 and they went on nearly everything including the vampire ride. we are getting a merlin pass now so we can visit there a few more times.

Good to hear you got there early and got free tickets for Chessington.

Legoland does Pick-a-brick in the Big Shop - I find that more cost effective than buying sets. 4yr old is happy to have a few handfulls of bricks (costs us £2-£3) rather than a set. Though he would love a big set. May be handy tip if your children want Lego from the shop but you are not planning on spending a lot.

Our usual walk route now takes us to Starwars, then down past Viking ride, down to Pirate falls, then through Lego City and past Hotel to Atlantis, then up the hill to Duplo, mini Land and up the hill to Build&Test. Build&Test can be handy if it's wet... somewhere to go to dry out a bit.

Have a great time.

I am so glad to hear you had a good day at Chessington despite a disappointing start. Fantastic that you got four free tickets as well.

Hope tomorrow goes well for you. Smile

Your boys are going to be exhausted - but very happy - by the time they get back to school on Tuesday! Grin

Glad you had a good day and the weather wasn't too bad. Was it busy?

Glad you had a good time
I'm sad my dcs are too big for legoland. Ds is off to Thorpe Park on Friday with school as it's his last day before he goes on study leave for gcses.
