I went to Costa Teguise about 6 yrs ago. From what I remember, there is a strip of restaurants looking out over the sea and others dotted about in other areas. The menus were all quite similar tbh, I wasn't overly impressed with the food there. There is a childrens playground somewhere along the sea front but don't know what else - my dd was only 3 when we went so was quite happy with that and the beach. Our resort also had a playground and a pool. We hired a car for a couple of days and saw most of the rest of the island, includung the National Park (where the volcano is). What ages will you be catering for? There was a lovely beach on the north of the island which was popular with surfers, etc.

Loveit love it love it.
We have been going every year for the last 6 years and wouldnt go anywhere else for our winter holiday.

There is a shopping mall called Las Cucharas that has some nice shops in it, a couple of beach cafes that are ok, plenty of english restaurants, there is an English Pub round the headland, thenames escaped me but you cant miss it, the beach is lovely for kids and families, there is a nice restaurant called Larnes its not cheap but lovely food, the centre of Costa Teguise is full of restaurants, english chippis , shops etc.

Been 3 times. Stayed twice at Occidental Oasis and had a great time, with and without kids. Costa Teguise not a "real" place- just for tourists, but lots of spanish people have holiday homes there. Ate mostly at our hotel but very many restaurants, some good, most indifferent. Best hotel is the Grand Melia Salinas - lovely restaurants there for a treat. There is absoutely loads to do on the island, hire a car. Visit all the Cesar Manrique sites they are truly wonderful... Go to Arrecife, the capital city. Frequent bust service from Costa Teguise. Lots of lovely tapas restaurants there and much more of a real place, some good shops. We would certainly go back and probably will. nb beach usually very windy!

We stayed at the Teguise Golf hotel about 5 years ago, we had a lovely time, but it was before DS was born so haven't tested it with kids, but there are nice friendly places to eat, some shops, the Aquapark is good but from memory it was quite pricey to get in, beach was lovely, nice relaxed resort. I can't remember the name of it but somewhere near Costa Teguise there is a restaurant that has been built into one of the mountains, if you can find that the kids will love it, full of caves and adventures!! Certainly hiring a car is a bit of a must!

i've only stayed in puerto del carmen, the old town side, and loved it. weather was fantastic in march. however, i've been told that the weather on the costa teguise side of lanzarote can be a bit changable, and very windy, at certain times of the year. my sister has stayed in playa blanca with dd, and they loved it there. apart from that, think lanzarote is the nicest of the canaries. have a fab time wherever you go!

We stayed in Costa Teguise two years ago, love it and would love to go back,it's very windy though but the beaches are lovely. Plenty of restaurants that offer all sorts, waiters very friendly and brilliant with the kids.

We stayed there, oooh about four years ago. Don't know much about children's activities as (apart from a very scary trip across the island in a hire car) we really just lounged around the pool in our appartments most days.
WE ate out quite a bit though and I do remember one restaurant called Portobello (probably because we lived near Portobello in Edinburgh at the time) being good.
You could also try looking at this site as people often post details about good places to eat out in the resorts they've visited.

Take a jumper for at night. However hot it is in the day, its cold at night! There was a REALLY nice restaurant, only I can't remember what it was called.... if it comes to me I'll let you know

Don't eat in the Sports bar, the food is horrible!
