Hi
My experience of baby food in SPain is that there is lots available. We went with my DD when she was 9months old and there was lots of choice and they seemed tastier than the jars available here.

Most bigger supermarkets have exactly the same produce as in England.

Loads of jars and pouches to choose from.

just be aware that Spainish baby food won't be as textured or lumpy as here. My Mum lives in Spain are the main brand is called Hero. My mum bought my 8 month old son a couple of jars of 8 month baby food last week when we were there. It was completely smooth-and even 12 month food is still smooth, so if they are used to a bit more texture then mash up some veggies / pasta to go in it. Hipp is also available in Spain.

What does she normally eat?

My DD who wont eat jars of baby food normally but loved the Hero fish one! My parents live partly in Majorca, so always buy some stuff for her each time we visit. They are less textured though. Generally she just had whatever we had with the jars as a back up.

The Hero bottled baby juice though is very sweet, we got some for going out and I needed to dilute it. I ended up buying fresh juices and diluting that insted as I would at home.

If you are using disposables Dodot nappies are made by Pampers, and IMO better! They seem more absorbant and never leak on DD. Its a great way to save on packing space as nappies are bulky especially if you can get your MIL to pick them up for you.

Enjoy your trip! Its easier to travel with a baby that will stay put, than a toddler who wants to run about (I'm due to fly home tonight from the Netherlands with DD 16mo and dreading it!)

Thanks everyone! Sounds easy then. Sadly my little one is just about to walk... Not
Likely to be as easy a flight as when he was 3 months Grin

Also Desperate2012, worth bearing in mind, the nappies in spain for some reason are extortionate so pack as many as you can. Agree food/jars are great, have been going since dd was 10 weeks and never needed to take any food as supermarkets and chemists have a wide variety of choice.
