Time Capsule Monklands or Perth Swimming Pool? Probably a Q for SCOTTISH Mnetters!

If you had the choice would you take the kids to the Time Capsule or Perth Swimming Pool?

We are hoping to go tomorrow, we were in Glasgow today and the Schools aren't on holiday yet so the Time Capsule might be quiet, however we have never been there before. Don't know about Perth, although we have been there years and years ago and seem to remember it being quite good.

Any help would be appreciated as I am struggling to find much info on Google.

Well we went to the Time Capsule today and I must admit it wasn't as fab as it looked in the ads 10/15 years ago but the kids had a great time and that's the main thing! They thought we had taken them to a really fantastic place! When we arrived we were told that the wave machine wasn't going to be on, the rapids weren't going to be on and only one of the slides were open, although both DSs didn't seem to mind. Thought the changing cubicles were tiny, even the family one and really wish we had put some money in the big all over hairdryer thing that the whole family could go in, would have been worth it and saved washing another four towels. Also felt the temperature of the pool was a bit on the cool side, I couldn't do much swimming as DS2 still in armbands and DS1 not a particularly strong swimmer yet, and the showers were too hot!

Despite the moaning it was a good day out and if we lived a bit closer I would definately go there more regularly. Had a peek at the ice rink and it looks fab, already planning a day's shopping in Glasgow with a treat for the boys at the ice skating at the Time Capsule on the way home.

We arrived too late in the day to visit the museum but it would have been good to have incorporated both (I blame DH for our lateness ).

Thanks for letting us know how you got on.

If you are ever further north (Highlands) and need any advice then I may be of more help.
