Those houseswap places are extremely glamorous.

All six bedrooms and stylish and what not.
Can't we have some everyday homes?
You know:
Tired but happy family home.
Noting to break - the kids have already smashed it.
Swap your kitchen sink for mine. Any change is welcome.

I know what you mean. I live in a real picture-postcard location (Canadian Rockies) and in a log home, so very appealing in theory to visitors, but I'd be far too embarrassed to arrange a house swap because the inside of our place is definitely looking...erm...very well lived in... Blush

So glad someone mentioned this. I thought it was just me who looked at the properties and felt ashamed at my half painted but still lovely home. I'd have to get the decorators in (not to mention new carpets after potty training lol) before swapping with anyone judging by the properties on offer. And I don't live in picturesque location just nice suburban village outside London. :( oh well

not everyone has glam houses like that. I did a houseswop a few years ago and neither my house nor the one I swopped for were show homes.

lazydog DH would love to go there so if you ever fancied swopping for Florida let me know Grin
